25th Annual Gift Wrap Booth

Gift Wrap Booth at Empire Mall Benefiting Shelter for Family Safety is Underway

For more than 25 years, volunteers around the Sioux Falls area have been wrapping gifts for holiday shoppers at the annual Gift Wrap Booth, located in the Empire Mall, benefiting Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety.

People bring their unwrapped gifts to the booth and while they continue to shop–or take a break at the food court–volunteers wrap their gifts. When the person returns, their gifts are beautifully wrapped and ready to be placed under the tree.

A few Board Members have already volunteered their time at the Gift Wrap Booth. Earlier this month Julie Anderson Friesen and Melissa Johnson gathered groups of Christmas elves to help wrap gifts.

We need a few more Board Members for the Board shift on December 18, from 5-7 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Gina Hopkins at 605-351-0269. Don't miss out on this fun opportunity!

The Gift Wrap Booth is open now through December 24. Hours are based on the Empire Mall holiday hours, which are Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours are subject to change based on weather.
