Kids Corner: Sentimental Moments from Christmas
Judging by the sounds of excitement on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, it’s safe to say the children at CHS had a fun and cozy Christmas.
On Christmas Eve, children drank hot cocoa and ate popcorn as they relaxed and opened gifts. For many children, the highlight of the evening was the slippers they received.
Dawn Endsley is a Clinical Unit Supervisor for the Madson building on the SFCH campus.
“One child screeched in enthusiasm after discovering the fluffy, yellow Pikachu slippers,” said Dawn. “Several children attempted to take their slippers to bed, either still on their feet or cuddling them in their arms.”
On Christmas Day, staff reported that they re-used packaging and boxes to construct ramps in the unit kitchen so the children could test out their remote-controlled cars.
Dawn said, “The children really enjoyed some fun, imaginative play with their new toys.”
Thank you to everyone who helped make this Christmas special for our kids.
