On the Move December 2025

It is with a heavy heart that we share that Erica Krohn, Director of Events and Volunteer Management, has decided to leave CHS. In her three years at CHS, Erica has transformed the events department with her leadership, tenacity and willingness to work together with so many across the organization. We are grateful for the many wonderful things she has accomplished in her time at CHS.

While we will miss Erica, we are excited for her as becomes the Executive Director at the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce. This is a tremendous step forward in her career and it will also allow her to be closer to her children’s school and support a better work/life balance for her family and herself. Erica’s last day at Children's Home Society will be Friday, December 19 

We are sad to report that Business Innovations Director Gil Johnson has resigned from his position. For the past two years, Gil advanced innovation efforts across the organization, collaborating with teams to explore new ideas, pilot improvements and support forward-looking initiatives. We appreciate the energy, eagerness and ideas he brought to this work and the relationships he built along the way.

We are grateful for Gil’s contributions to CHS and wish him the best in his next chapter. His last day with the organization will be January 9, 2026.
