Last week, staff from the South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) visited the Sioux Falls campus for its annual survey. Over four hours, they reviewed documentation and staff files, interviewed children, read reports and toured the facility. We are excited to report that the campus received outstanding feedback!
"I want to share that they were complimentary of the great work each of you are doing in these areas," said Katelynn Beldin, Director of Residential Treatment. "If we put our feedback into a grade, we would have received an A+."
She added, "The children shared that they enjoy therapy, the staff who support them, the fun activities they participate in and that they feel very cared for at CHS."
Along with positive feedback, the children also shared a few ideas for improvement.
"While the children offered great ideas for improvement, we will not be moving forward with painting all the rooms and the outside of the building pink and purple."
Although we agree with Katelynn about the color pink, we think the kids may be onto something about purple—especially if it’s CHS’s Pantone 2593C purple!
