Ribbon Cutting for Life Skills Rooms
Last Monday, CHS welcomed community members to the new Rapid City Campus for a ribbon cutting celebrating the new Life Skills and Family Engagement rooms. The rooms were made possible through a humanitarian grant from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will give children and families a welcoming place to learn, connect and grow.
A special part of the event came in the form of tiny handprints. BHCH kiddos traced their hands, and while community members took tours of the new campus, they stopped into a new Life Skills room where all the handprints were waiting. Guests then took time to write messages of hope for the kiddos on each hand. Those handprints will be displayed in the new campus when the children visit later this month!
KOTA, KELO and the Rapid City Journal were also there to help share the story with the community.
