Welcome Home, OMHS and CAC
Construction is complete at the new Outpatient Mental Health Services Clinic (OMHS) and Child Advocacy Center (CAC). On Friday, February 13, CHS received occupancy approval from the City of Rapid City, and teams began moving!
Staff packed offices, labeled boxes and coordinated schedules to keep everything running smoothly. With help from volunteers and professional movers, teams cleared out their former spaces and set up their new offices without missing a beat.
OMHS and CAC now operate from their permanent locations, while Foundation, HR and Facilities are working from temporary spaces as construction continues in other areas of the building.
Construction crews remain focused on interior work and, weather permitting, will soon begin landscaping and exterior projects.
CAO Mark Niemeyer is pleased with the progress and grateful for everyone’s teamwork.
“We are a week ahead of schedule and making great progress as we settle into the new OMHS and CAC spaces,” said Mark. “Thank you to everyone for making this transition a huge success!”
The project is on track for October 2026 completion and remains under budget. Enjoy these pictures from move-in week!
